Itty Bitty Kitty KOMMITTEE

Well tonight I tried three times to catch one more stray. The one I wanted got loose, so did the tuxedo. The third try was successful and now I have a slightly larger smoky grey tiger in the same cage as booby kitty.

They're not killing each other so it's all good.

P.S. I fell in the living room tripping over a small box while carrying new kitty to the bathroom. Ouch. I'm in one piece but I know I'll hurt tomorrow.

The animal shelters here will let you borrow a cage for a few days to catch strays. Maybe they'll do the same in your neck of the woods?

Yep, same here in NOLA concerning the cage.

...and owie sympathies concerning the fall! :-/

Loads of places loan out those cages. I've borrowed them. And sympathies for the fall.

Cool!

Do you work at a shelter?

I did at one time in my colorful past. It was a no-kill shelter.

People who bruise massively should have clear floors...I say that every time I fall over something here so I hope it's a helpful thing for you to say as well.

And

More cats? You are in danger of entering crazy cat lady territory aren't you? I think 5 or 6 is the tipping point. You need to dust off your fuzzy slippers and find a ratty chenille bathrobe, in case there are any more kittens or maybe a preggo cat lurking in your garden.

hahahaha! Well, with this one, we do have six. We've lost three cats in the last three years.

Besides - I AM crazy - and a cat lover, so I guess that I'm already a Crazy Cat Lady. LOL!

I had the same problem on the farm. People would dump cats on our road so I started out with one, then someone dumped a preggo cat and I wound up with 6 then I didn't know cats could get pregnant three weeks after having kittens and had 10 but someone dumped off two more cats in the meantime so it was really 12...and you see where I am going with this? By the time I got everyone sorted out, vaccinated and fixed and started getting homes for them I think I was up to about 30 or so cats turning up for breakfast and supper. I don't think I ever got the number below 10 again because the supply of young pregnant cats equals or exceeds the quanity of stupid people that don't want to take responsibility when their cat gets pregnant.
