Checking out a new place

There is a 4-bedroom home with more space AND a fireplace one street over. They're asking 40,000. I sent a message to the realtor to contact me.

This home would suit our needs even more and would get us out of here, leaving Bette and Norman to fight over it.

I could use a fresh start.

Veteran's Association loan maybe? I don't know if you need a down payment now or what but the housing market is soft and the interest rates are supposedly pretty good. Plus 40 is about what you'd pay for a fancy car isn't it? Surely the bank wouldn't baulk at that.
